More than just a safari business, Wander Africa is an impact-driven safari, adventure and concierge company that curates unmatched adventures, lasting connections and authentic experiences that may at first, lose you in the bigness and beauty of Africa, but then brings you right back home to the land and back home to yourself.
Founded by Jay Parmar, a third generation Kenyan and second generation safari designer and tour operator, but mostly, just a guy with an unwavering love for the spirit of Africa. Born and raised in the heart of Kenya, Jay honed his passion and precision within the safari business from his father, a 55-year veteran who continues to run his own safari company in Kenya. And although Jay moved to the US for college, his passion for the continent, the wilderness, the people and the inherent spirituality continued to be a shining light in his life.
Incoming Wander Africa: a shining light that warms and welcomes the wonderment of his motherland to the rest of the world. Not “just another safari company”, Wander Africa is all about purposeful yet personal adventures, ensuring every trip and every trek is tailor-made just for you. Rooted in conservation and sustainability, our brand is here to make a difference, bring about change and create a greener way to explore.
Working alongside his partner in life, in love and in business, Brandi and Jay are based in Black Mountain, North Carolina, and through their mutual drive for regenerative adventure, they’re on a mission to go beyond designing luxury safari’s, but instead, to protect the homeland, conserve the wilderness and share the pure joy of Africa.

We didn’t set out to build a travel company—we set out to share something we love in a way that felt true to us.
We’re Jay and Brandi Parmar, the duo behind it all. Jay grew up in Kenya, but traveled the world from a young age. He’s the connector—the one dreaming up new experiences and building relationships across the continent. Brandi brings the calm and the magic behind the scenes. She handles the details, maps out the flow, and makes sure each journey feels seamless from start to finish. Together, we stay close to every traveler—before, during, and long after the trip—because this work is personal to us.
Together, we’ve spent years exploring the continent—getting to know its rhythms, its people, and the places that still take our breath away. Every journey we plan is shaped by those experiences.
