  • April to December is best for dry, comfortable weather. January to March is cyclone season in many parts of the country and best avoided.

  • Varies by region, but expect tropical and subtropical climates. The east is wetter, the south is dry and hot, and central highlands can be cool at night.

  • Yes—especially for curious kids who love nature. Lemur walks, beach days, and cultural visits are engaging for all ages. Travel times can be long, so pace accordingly.

  • Most travelers can obtain a visa on arrival or online. Check the latest entry requirements based on nationality
