Three Weeks, A Family of Ten, Infinite Memories
The Adamek Family while in Tswalu. A frame worthy capture :)
This summer, we had the joy of creating a three-week safari for a family of ten — a journey that was as adventurous as it was deeply meaningful. Their experience wove together some of Africa’s most iconic destinations with intimate, once-in-a-lifetime moments that will stay with them forever.
The adventure began in Botswana’s Okavango Delta, where the family settled into the wild beauty of Duba Plains Camp. A helicopter whisked them straight from Maun to a private visit at Elephant Havens, setting the tone for a trip filled with purpose and connection. Days on safari brought extraordinary wildlife encounters, while nights around the fire turned into story-sharing under a canopy of stars.
From there, the family continued to the sweeping landscapes of the Kalahari at Tswalu, staying at Tarkuni House — their own exclusive lodge. Here, the highlight of the trip unfolded: a private rhino notching experience. Side by side with conservation teams, the family helped notch four rhinos for DNA collection, research, and monitoring — an unforgettable contribution to the survival of this endangered species.
Their journey ended in Cape Town and the Cape Winelands, blending city energy and coastal adventure with vineyard walks and exquisite dining. From summiting Table Mountain by cable car and exploring Langa township, to private art tours, sidecar rides along the peninsula, and a helicopter-flown mountaintop coffee stop, every day offered something fresh and unexpected.
For this family, the safari became much more than travel. It was about discovery, adventure, and giving back — an extraordinary experience stitched together with moments of wonder that truly defined what a journey through Africa can be.
