Step 1.
Let’s be friends

We schedule a call, or schedule to meet you in person. We like to keep things casual, and the experience as organic as we can right from the get go. We ask about what you want to experience, what your must dos are, where you want to go, and anything else down to the finest details, so we can curate the perfect initial itinerary for you.

*Don’t be shy, we like to help everyone on any budget!

By now, we should know each other pretty well. We present you with some of our ideas, and our selections of camps/lodges or hotels for you. Including what experiences suit you, your style and your budget.

*At this stage we do charge a non-refundable $250 fee, which will be put toward the rest of your trip should you choose to move forward.

Step 2. Presentation

Step 3.

You took your time to review and absorb our ideas for you, now it is your turn to share some feedback. Whatever you like about it, don’t like about it, can be taken care of and further crafted into your perfection.

Let us know you are good to go, ready to book it, share it, and experience it!

Step 4.
Thumbs up or thumbs down

Step 5.

Now comes the best part! We get to live in your excitement. Brandi and I walk you through your entire packing and preparation process. What to wear, what to leave behind, and all the details…down to which soap and sun lotion we recommend. Vaccinations, visas and other information will also be shared at this time in preparation for your adventure.

Now it’s time to create your own story…explore what we created together and write home about it, or better yet share it with all of your friends, so that they can live vicariously through your adventures.

Step 6.
Live it and Share

Why do we charge a consultation fee?

Planning a safari takes a lot of time and creativity. We have to communicate with our partners across the continent, checking availability at specific locations, pricing out each of the moving parts (transport, flights, accommodations, activities, guides, etc) and then creating our presentation to you. To protect our time, and value our services, we charge a very nominal consultation fee, which is non-refundable, but can be put toward your safari should you end up booking with us. This allows us to really focus on those with genuine intentions so we can truly create an unforgettable experience.

We traveled on our family safari trip arranged by Wander Africa. While we travel frequently ...this was one of the most complex trips but was the easiest to plan. Jay and Irene arranged every detail and managed our travel from Nairobi airport at 1am to our return back to the airport nine nights later. Every detail was well thought out - from the high level of service at each camp, to the birthday dinner on our first day. They clearly had built valuable relationships with the camps that allowed for amazing experiences. We highly recommend Wander Africa!
